Thank you for that follow-up information.

The will of John Wall did NOT name a Hardy Wall nor was he a purchaser at the estate sale after Amy Hall Wall died. There was another Wall in the records of Edgefield County that I traced briefly, but being in the hospital now, I don't have my files with me, and I don't remember the who, what and when. And.... my best "GUESTIMATE" at this point is that John WALL was born about 1755-1765, which would mean that the earlier Hardy was his nephew ???

Reasons that I was interested in John WALL of the Pee Dee River were that he was appointed the first Constable of the Parish of St. David, i.e. the "Welch Tract" according to the Colonial records of South Carolina and for my ancestry, there were other ancestors that also lived there and would have been closely acquainted with that John Wall. Law enforcement has continued through the decades with some of the Wall descendents.
