Adrian Daily Telegram, Sat., April 5, 2008, pg 2A Lyle H. ‘Red’ Wall Obit ADRIAN — Lyle “Red” H. Wall, age 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, surrounded by his adopted family at his home. He was born March 5, 1926, the son of John and Amanda (Erb) Wall in Oelwein, Iowa. During World War II, he served his country in the Navy. He was a member of the American Legion. Lyle was helpful to everyone with a kind, friendly word. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. Lyle is survived by his special “adopted” family with whom he made his home for the last 20 years, Vernita and the late Irvin Rudolph; his adopted children, Randy Rudolph, Steven (Carol) Rudolph, Linda (Michael) West and Anna (Joseph) Barron, all of Adrian; and his adopted grandchildren, Heidi (Roger) Yatzek, Robert (Genny) West, Joseph “Joey” West and A.J. West. He is also survived by two sisters, Ella Mae Wall and Joan Crabb, both of South Bend, Ind., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Hazel Hehl, Harriet Hawks and Helen Griswald; and three brothers, James, Stanley and Leonard. Graveside services for Lyle will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2008, at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Friends may visit the family at the Wagley Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008. Those wishing to make a contribution in memory of Lyle may direct their gifts to Disabled American Veterans. Envelopes are available at the Wagley Funeral Home.
