Pinkney H. (probably Hardwick for his grandmother's maiden name) was born near Red Bay, AL in Franklin Co.around 1851. His father, Coatsworth Pinkney (my ggg Grandfather) was born in Franklin Co. in 1818 - before Alabama became a state. Pinkney's grandfather was Littleberry, his g grandfather - Abner, and his gg grandfather - Sheriff James Vinson from North Hampton Co. NC and he died in 1795.
Pinkney was referred to as Uncle Pink by much of the family. His younger brother, Energy Jackson Vinson, moved to Oklahoma. According to family, he visited Oklahoma often, and at least once, the two brothers and one nephew visited Alabama. Do you have a death date?
