Elsie Mae Hilger (1877-1969) was indeed md. to Marcus (they called him "Mark") Vinson. I was privileged to know my great-grandmothe until I was a sophomre in college. she was a lovely, crusty old lady who liked baseball and playihg cvards. she never let us win at cards which was great training. I have several generatiohn back on the Vinsons and several on the Hilgers. Mammaw Vinson was the granddaughter of German immigrants who were among the original settlers of White Co., Arkansas in 1832. I don't have my information before me but our Vinson family descends form one of Capt. James Vinson's brother.

Delighted to hear from you!

scott
