I am desperately looking for any mentions of a Joseph Vincent from the Buckingham, Labelle county/Masson quebec, Bowman/Villeneuve, Masham and Angers as well as Ottawa as well as any area close by.
Also am looking for the names of churches and cemeteries in these areas.
This is all I can give anyone as far as information:

Joseph Vincent may have been part indian/french

Born between 1829/1833 in any of the above mentioned areas.
He was widowed and left with one son also Joseph Jr. aka Joseph II who was born in the Buckingham area between 1861 or 1864*(there may have been more children but we have no mother's name to go by) In the 1881 census of Canada he is found with wife no. 2 Marie Louise Otterson born in 1855. Marie Louise's name was mispelled as Orton, Cotton, Colton. the possible daughter of Sam Otterson in Masham Quebec, another area he seems to stick around in.The Ottersons were a protestant family so someone had to denounce their religion (at least temporarily) With Marie Louise there were three children (1881 census of Beauman/Villeneuve) Delinas aged 7 born in 1874, Joseph Vincent III aged 3 born in 1878 and Aimee the youngest son born in 1880. His son from his previous wife Joseph Jr. aka Joseph II was also there at the age of 20. The Vincents as well as others namely, Villeneuves being ones of many were the firsts to clear the lands near the Beauman/Villeneuve villages and establish their roots. There is also a Michel Vincent in Beauman which I beleive is clearly related.(a cousin to the oldest) Because I have no Middle names for all these Josephs, I cannot continue my long search (almost 3 years stuck at the same place) because of this. Joseph Vincent I along with his family with Louise were employees of Ferdinand Villeneuve and his sister in Law Emma.In Beauman. As I have mentioned before, they do not seem to wander too far from the areas I have mentioned. In the 1901 census of Masson/Labelle County near Buckingham there is a Joseph Vincent aged 72, Mary Vincent aged 46 which would match Marie Louise who was in 1881 26, and a joseph Vincent aged 23 who would match the age of the 3 year old in Beauman. Their indian status is Metis. My Joseph Vincent II married my great grandma Emilie Lauzon, the adoptif daughter of Jerimie Rivet and Sophie Cote at the Notre Dame de Cyrville Church in Ottawa in 1888. He had 3 children from her: Joseph, Jeremie Donat Vincent who died in 1890, Corinne Vincent who died in 1892 both were around 18 months and Maria Vincent who was the remaining child still alive. Joseph Vincent II died march 13, 1892 at the age of 28 years old and He, His daughter Corinne and his son Jos/Jeremie are buried in a common plot at the Notre Dame Cemetary on Montreal Road in Ottawa. Because they were too poor to afford the coffin rentals, all three remains where removed from the caskets either buried in a potters field section of the cemetary or buried underneath the person who received their coffin. But the records show they are there. All the Vincents from these parts were mainly laborers. I have a picture of my grandma Maria Vincent, the only remaining child when she was ten. She definitely has indian/french features. She Married Tom Brennan in Haileybury and had 12 children. 4 died during the epidemics and out of the 8 remaining 5 out of them are very darked skin. My Aunt Rita who is the remaining girl left at a 85 years young is one of them. Her children 5 out of 7 have than wonderfun "tan" I wish I had. My Uncle Harvey the only remaining boy also has the same features. It is quite obvious there is indian status. My e-mail address is malcolmxl@sympatico.ca and I thank you so much for your time. This is a tough one for me. I am really stuck and would appreciate all the help I can get. Linda Inch
