William Vincent and Alice Handy, Buchanan, Mich. 1870s

William Vincent married Alice Handy, whose father Ichabod Handy was a Captain of a whaling ship out of New Bedford, Mass. Alice's mother was a Maori native woman in New Zealand. Alice had two children before she died in 1874. Their names were Alice born in 1868 and William Albert born in 1870. Daughter Alice Handy married Edgar Easter Brattain in the 1890 in Oregon. Any info on this family will be appreciated.
