I am descended from an Anderson, who is African American, and whose genealogy can be traced back to Virginia. Do you happen to know if any of your ancestors owned slaves in Virginia? I am trying to find out, because I can trace my genealogy partially by locating plantations on which ancestor slaves might have lived.
