According to "Descendants of William Towne Who Came to America on or about 1630 and Settled in Salem, Mass" Isaac Towne, born 9 Dec 1759, married Judith Bixby and had a son Alfred. There is very little information on this line in the book and Alfred is the only child listed. There are no dates listed for Alfred.
I don't know how accurate this is - just thought I'd post where the Alfred information might have come from.
