Unfortunately, I've hit a brick wall with Richard Towne. His son George Towne was born in Owls Head near Malone N.Y. his wife was Edith Brigham.
It's just so hard to believe that so many generations of the same family could neglect their own heritage to the point of being lost forever. It makes me wonder if I will be forgotten as well. Entire lifetimes lost. They have to count for something.
As far as I know, my Towne family lived in upstate N.Y. and possibly around the same latitude further east.
