Am I a descendant of William Towne?

I have only gone back 7 generations roughly around early 1800's with Richard Towne, b. 18-?
George Towne b. 18-?
Roy Towne b. 1897
William Towne b. 1927
Allan Towne b. 1947
Gregory Towne b. 1971
Alec Towne b. 1991

I would appreciate any one out there with anything that could possibly help in my quest.
