Sorry I'm so slow in replying. I am the genealogist for the Towne Family Association and life became a bit complicated in September.
Now to your question regarding a crest. If there is one, we have no way of knowing if it connects to our ancestor John Towne who was the father of the immigrant, William. The professional researcher Towne Family Association hired in England has been unable to go back beyond John. There are many scams promoting crests, books, etc.
