I have a copy and it traces Towne lines up until about the time of its publication which you have listed as 1901. Do you know about the Towne Family Association? A membership only costs about $15 a year. You do have to prove your lineage. There are genealogists for the various lines and there is a quarterly newsletters for members. I think it is well worth joining for anyone descended from William Towne and Joanna Blessing.
