I have an ancestor -- Richard Thomas-- who was born somewhere in VA in 1825. He was living in Lynchburg VA with his wife, Eliza in 1857. He was listed in the tax recods there in 1855 and 1857. By 1860 he was in Knoxville TN. I have never been able to identify his siblings or parents even though I looked through the records of Bedford County, Amherst Co., and Campbell Co.

Do you think our Thomases might be related?
