The information about the parents of Thomas Jefferson Terry d 23 Oct 1858 I posted was from page 2 of Edna Harris Bushnell's Terry Records of Virginia. It was originally published in Notes of Terry Families in the United States of America by Stephen Terry, 1887. Hartford Connecticut in the section on Southern Terrys pages 283-284 which lists the siblings of Thomas Jefferson Terry.
A very reliable researcher has advised David Terry and Mrs. Reed as the parents are from family lore and the parents can be determined by viewing court records in Smith County, Tennessee concerning this family.
I do not have access to these records.
