Searching for the final resting place of David Swift, b.1814 in NY, d.~1886, m1.Harriet Hunn m2. Melissa Knapp Billick. David is the son of Zebulun (Joe) Swift, who died in Pecatonica Township, Winnebago County, IL in 1852. A couple of on-line genealogy sites say that he is buried in Pecatonica Township, but the County has no record of his death, and the cemetery records on file at the Rockford, IL public library for Winnebago County do not have him listed.
In the 1880 census he was living in Hanover, JoDaviess County, IL with his second wife, Melissa. JoDaviess County has no record of his death, or final resting place.
