Trying to find my Goulding ancestors who were in GA in early 1800's. My gg gfather was Thomas Goulding born ca 1818 in GA. Supposedly married a lady named Mariah ca 1839? His 9 children are thought to be Sarah, James Trigg, Margaret, Carolyn, Doratha, William, John H, Ann & Mary Frances. All born ca 1840-1856. Wondering if any of the following Gouldings could be connected to my family. Could the Thomas below be the father of my Thomas??
1. I find a Thomas Goulding who married Margaret Stacy in 1784 in Liberty Co, GA
2. I then find a Mrs. Margaret Goulding who married a John Croft 3-1-1792 in Liberty Co, GA (apparently a 2nd marriage for John who married Elizabeth Sullivant in 1787 in Liberty Co, GA)
3. Later, I find Mrs. Margaret Croft who married Rev. Stephen Hoyt 7-21-1803 in Liberty Co, GA.
My g gfather was John H. Goulding who moved to TX at some point and died early 1900's in most likely Freestone Co, TX.
Would appreciate any help in making connections to other Goulding families.
