Schwartz/Holzhammer/Nusbaum- France/Germany

Nicholas Schwartz was my great grandfather who immigrated from Alsace Lorraine which was sometimes French and other times German territory. I know that he was in the German Navy and that he was born around 1868. He was married to Regina Nusbaum (not positive about the last name). They came to the US with their Children Louis (Ludwig),Nicholas Jr., Charles (Karl), Mary (Marie), and Francois (Frank) in the early 1900s. They lived in Trenton, New Jersey. Regina died very soon after the birth of their last child, Alice born here in US. Regina Nusbaum had at least 4 siblings, 2 of which I am sure were male- not sure of the other two as they were very young in the only picture I have of her. A woman I believe to be Nicholas's sister, Elizabeth Schwartz Holzhammer and her husband Nicholas Holzhammer also lived in Trenton.I know Nicholas Schwartz left behind a sister in Alsace but don't know her name. He may have had a brother in the Trenton area as well, but I do not have a name. I have been able to find the ship records documenting their arrival in the US but nothing about them prior to that. Does anyone have any information on this Schwartz family, the Holzhammers or possibly the Nusbaums? It isn't much to go on I know. I welcome suggestions even if you don't have any facts for me. Thanks so much!
