The Olins that lived just north of Windsor are distant cousins. My family lived about 5 miles north of Windsor on Gracemore Farms, which was a Harpur house. Dad still lives about a mile south of there.

I found a deed for land from Robert Harpur, Jr. to William Schouten, Sr. dated 1817. William Sr. was the father to my Andrew and Henry, et. al. I also found a letter from Robert Harpur to a Judge Kittel in 1863 mentioning that Andrew left Colesville in 1844 and Henry enlisted in 1862. William Jr. was not in the Union Army because he was too big and clumsy. He was needed to take care of the Schouten's farm in Harpursville due to William Sr.'s lame hand.
