My grandmother Barbara Elizabeth Schneider married August Ries in San Antonio 1884. She was born 1856 in Holzheim near Hersfeld in Hessen and came to Texas in 1883. Her parents were Peter Schneider and Anna Katherine Albert.
She had a married sister living in or near Monte Vista, Colorado, but I do not know husband's name. I have two photos of her sister's family. Their children were Adolf, Bertha, Helene, Anna, Martha, Helene, and Esta L. Would be delighted to share photos and informtion with sister's descendants. Ed Ries
