Hi Dawn. I think we have been in touch in years past. My lineage is: James of York Co SC > Ephraim > David > James M. > David Jonathan > William Edward > William Henry > then me.

I think a book would be great. I have hoped someone would tackle it. Juanima McFarland of Tulsa Ok HAS the most Pursleys that I know of in her data base. I have well over 1,000 in mine. Let me know if you are serious and I will add more names which I have not yet entered. As Diana Ford said in her message (we are connected) there was oodles of Pursleys in the Purcell Magazine back in the 80's. Some of it in error, however, and some very hard to follow because of the format they used to print it. Linda Pursley Hanks of California is the other "expert". She is presently writing a book on her mother's family.

So! Let's do it!!!!!!
