I don't know if it's still his current email but you might try contacting Gordon Pursley at gordon@pursley.co.uk. He is searching for any "Pursley" living 1800s in the Cathcart area of Scotland, also County Londonderry, Antrim and Fermanagh area of Northern Ireland.

You might want to take a look at his FTM site at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/p/u/r/Gordon-A-Pursley/index.html, and also at Phil Pursley's at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/p/u/r/PHILLIP-R-PURSLEY/index.html?Welcome=1060018880. Phil's grandfather was William Pursley who died in Scotland in 1879.

Also, if you go to http://www.bayanne.info/Shetland/index.html there is a good search there that will produce Pursley info. Hope this helps.
