There are no doubt more hints out there but I have have a theory based on the following:

Sarah Lee, daughter of Robert Lee, died AFT 1808. She married1 William C. Crittenden, son of Henry Crittenden and Frances F. Upshaw. He was born BEF 1716 in Essex Co, Virginia, and died in Montgomery Co, North Carolina. She married2 Thomas Presley (Preslar) (Sr). He was born 1730 in Cecil Co, Maryland, and died 1808 in Anson Co, North Carolina.

Marriage 1 William C. Crittenden b: BEF 1716 in Essex Co, Virginia
Children:
1) John Crittenden b: 3 NOV 1764 in New Kent Co, Virginia
2) William C. Crittenden b: 1765 in Anson (Montgomery Co), North Carolina

Marriage 2 Thomas Presley (Preslar) (Sr) b: 1730 in Cecil Co, Maryland
Children:
1) Rebecca Presley
2) Nancy Presley
3) Mary Presley
4) Jean Presley

Excerpt from Thomas Presley's Will:
"I appoint my true & trusty friend William Crittendon & my son Richard Presley Executors and my beloved wife Sarah Presley Executrix..."

This "true and trusty" friend is probably Sarah Lee's son from her first marriage.
