Hi Keith, I know the parents of your father as his father was my mother's cousin.

James Ponder was the son of Fred Harvey Ponder b. 1 Oct 1914 in KY. Fred was married 4 times so I can't say exactly which wife James is out of but one of the wives was Doris Talent. Fred married #1, Thelma Garrett; #2 Doris Talent; #3 Artie Turner; #4 Lydia Bybee. Fred had two older sisters, Ethel and Edna, both of whom have passed on. I knew these ladies very well and have a lot of photos of them. I can take you generations backwards on this line - in fact, I did two books on the Ponder family. Hope I can help you with what you need to know.
