Josephus Ponder was born in Knox Co. KY in the area that later became Bell Co. in 1834. His father came in from Buncombe Co. NC. I did two books on these families called
"Kentucky Ponders" but I am sold out of the first one and that's the one with the pictures and info about Sally and Frank Thompson in it. You probably could find it in Laurel Co. library - if not, they are in Clay Co., Frankfort and Kenton Co. KY. The Ponder reunion is this coming week-end in London, KY at Levi Jackson State Park, in the shelterhouse.
