Hello Tad, Thank you for suggesting Grodno. This is a possibilty. Many Poles, close to Lithuania and possibility of Belarussian spellings. The time frame is also good as the book runs from 1921 though 1939. The end of the Polish Soviet war and beginning of peace until the outbreak of WW II. I heard there was a second book of Jewish names but that was gone before I found out about it. Grodno had a sizable Jewish population, so again, a possibiity. We will only know when I get a match or several matches to the names I have. With year of birth, name, and both parents' names, this should be possible. I will post them in time on www.polishroots.org As for Haller. I am researching all material on him and the army, so do tell them about my work, my book, and yes, I have the applicants of the Polish Americans/ Canadians who fought in this army. General Haller served as best man at my grandparents wedding in Poland October 1926. Best wishes, Paul Notify Administrator about this message?
