Dear friend Paul,

I would suggest Grodno - Hrodna and/or area:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hrodna

As my eyes see most of the surnames as Poles, but also with Belarusian roots.

I'll try to check the database from almost same years, from our PTG - Polish Genealogical Society website "Polish Declaration of Admiration and Frendship for the United States", 1926 Poland. Our Polish friends from PTG already started indexing it, having now more than 200.000 records:

Hope this Hrodna helps a bit.

I have also one question to you: As I'm going in last week of June to Wladyslawowo for my Summer vacation, where the first museum for gen. Haller is located: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Wladyslawowo_Halerowka.jpg - I want to discuss with the local senators, and authorities the constructing of any website concerning the museum. Do you have the list of the Polish immigrants fighted under Haller? Do you have any pictures that may be shared with this site. From my side I can make in all future any deeper search on uncovering their origin in Poland, maybe their families still living here, if there would be some unknown lands.

Thank you - Dziekuje.

Your,

Tad
