Terrie, I couldn't find any of your Peirces in the book. There's an index according to first names and I looked up George, Andrew and John. I looked up the last names of the women, Gould and Emery in the names other than Peirce index. Then I looked up in the towns index Hudson, Maine with none listed. I saw Hudson, NH though. I looked up some of the other names of children who were siblings to your ancestors and some children from the census but found nothing matching names with dates, not even close dates. The closest match I found was a John S. Peirce born Jan. 8, 1809 married to a Sarah Gould, but I don't think that's it. My conclusion is perhaps you descend from one of the other early Peirces in Massachusetts, like Abraham of Plymouth, John (of Watertown) or Daniel of Newbury. There were a few others too. What info do you have to lead you to believe you descend from Thomas Peirce of Woburn? None of this means for sure that John doesn't descend from Thomas Peirce though, I'm pretty sure some people didn't amke it into the book in 1880. I wish I could have found a connection for you.
Dan Peirce
