Clarinda Pearce or Peirce (ca. 1776 - 1872) married Anthony Corey (1774 - 1856) in 1796 in Freetown, Mass. The marriage record calls her "Clarinda Shaw alias Pearce", which most likely means she was born a Pearce and married first a Shaw. Both Clarinda and Anthony were born in RI -- he in either North Kingstown or East Greenwich. They removed to Saratoga County, NY, and then to Oneida County, NY. Their children were Mercy, Abigail, Warner, Sally, Ruth, Mary, and Anthony. Who was Clarinda?
