I don't know if this helps, but a Robert Pearce had land grants in Little River County, AR in 1845, 1849, 1855, 1859, & 1860. Freedom Pearce received land in 1891, Hugh A. in 1844, and Isaac W. Pearce in 1855.

My Pearce's were in Ouachita County from around 1845 until around the turn of the century. They came from Benton County, TN, and they moved over into Choctaw Nations. Some of them are still living there now. There could be a connection with them living that close.
