PEARCE / PIERCE resurchers for Warren & Cannon Counties TN. say that a Stephen A. PEARSON was a brother to Susan, Mary, Mildred, & Louisa (all four girls married VINSON's) and I have had no luck (untill possably now) in tracking down the brother.

The reason I suspect the two males above are siblings of the four sisters above are as follows...
(1) Both named thier first born sons Stephen.
(2) A male named Stephen PIERCE aged 11 & born in TX. is listed in the household of Rob't. VINSON{presumibly his uncle} as well as also being listed as S. C. PEIRCE aged 11 & born in TX. in the household of his father P. R. PEIRCE.
(3) Both Philip Russell PIERCE & Mary PEARCE VINSON had daughters named Ursula A.
(4) James A. VINSON moved his family to Coosa Co.,AL. before 1860 very near to where Samuel A. PEARCE was living.
(5) A son of James A. VINSON named Richard remained in Coosa Co.,AL. and continued to live very near Samuel A. PEARCE's family and he even named a son Stephen P. VINSON.
