If you're still hunting your family I can probably help you a bit on this. The Mary Ann Paquette listed in the DNA study was still single and living with her mother and a couple brothers and other family members in Black River Falls, Jackson Co., Wisconsin. Source: 1905 Wisconsin State Census. She was a school teacher. I have no idea how the name Alma Green got into that DNA profile for this family. I have done extensive research on the Paquette (also spelled Pauquette) family. My ggg-grandmother was the sister of Moses Paquette's mother. Also, my great grandmother's brother was maried to the Theresa LaRiviere listed in that DNA profile. Internet genealogy is littered with errors. Looks to me like those errors can also creep into DNA family profiles. You can use it as clues, but until you chase down the documents for your family, you are not likely to have an accurate family history. This family would have European ties through their French blood.
