Dear Friends (and possible relatives),
I'm looking for any and all information about O'Neils or O'Neills in Caherciveen (or possibly Valentia Island). My gg-grandfather was Eugene O'Neill and his wife's name was Mary.
Their children:
- Daniel, b. Wales, date unknown (sometime between 1856 - 1870), married Ann Murphy, b. Ireland.
Their children included James, John, Gertrude (b. 1905, d. 1998, married John Enos, b. 1907, d. 1983, daughter Jackie), Alice (b. 1908 or 1909, married a Kelly).
Marie, b. 1870, Ireland, emig. 1912 (?), married Dennis Murphy, Ann's brother, b. 1865 in Ireland, emig. 1890 (?). Married 1888 in New London, CT USA
- Michael, no information.
- John, buried in India, married an O'Mara.
- Patrick (my g-grandfather), b. March or May, 1852 or 1856, Ireland, emig. 1886, married Mary Lehan 1876. Mary Lehan b. Nov. 1860 in England, emig. 1887. Her father, name unknown, born in England, her mother, name unknown, born in Ireland.
Their children included Katherine, b. Feb. 1884, England; Thomas, b. Aug. 1888, NY, married Mary (May?) Lawlor; Helen, b. 1890 NY, married Thomas J. Condon, son Thomas Paul Condon, b. 1922; Dan, b. October, 1892 NY, married Helena Leahy; Agnes, b. Oct. 1898 NY, married Hugh Smith, b. 1901 or 1902 in Rhode Island, children Patsy and Bill; Margaret, b. ? (after 1900 census), married Pat Sullivan with children Marguerite ("Ritie," married a Ficarra with children Frances and Robert), Celia and John.
