John O'Neil came from Ireland to Alton, Illinois around 1839. His siblings joined him between 1847 and 1855 when he died.
James, Catherine, Elizabeth, Mary, Bernard, and Patrick. It is thought they came from County Tyrone, Ireland, but not sure. The Reilly family intermarried the O'Neil family twice.
