William O’Neil born 22 October 1826, Bantry County Cork Ireland. He was a tailor. William was married and was widowed by 1858, and the 3 children from this marriage were also dead by 1862. He married 9 June 1862, Registry Office Geelong to Louisa Lewis nee Butter. She also had 3 children from her first marriage.
They had 3 children together:
(1) James O’Neil born 1860. He died 1919, East Melbourne aged 59 years.
(2) Mary O’Neil born 1863, Melbourne. She died 1866, Melbourne aged 3 years.
(3) Henry William O’Neil born 1868, South Melbourne. He died 1949, Mildura aged 81 years.
