I'm looking for information on descendents of James Ogle of Ohio. He's on a Ross County Census, as well as various census records from what was Ohio County, Virginia which eventually became West Virginia.
What I have is a Peter Benjamin Ogle (b. 1817), my gggg-grandfather. He has 7 generations of descendants here in my locality, but as we move beyond the local area, he becomes more difficult to track. He is found on an 1840 Census of Madison County Ohio. The only other Ogle in that county is James, so I'm hoping that he's a relation-or better yet a father!- to Peter (who also has gone by Peter, P.B., and Ben or Benjamin, making my task all the more difficult).
