1850-1854 woolen mills

William Bruce arrived in NY July 1848 with his wife Helen (Scott) and daughter Eliza. They stopped in NY City a while Had a son Andrew born July 11, 1850. They moved to Rishing, NY (not sure of this spelling) where William was a forman in ??ossy Dekita (not sure of this spelling) a woolen mill for about two years.

Any help with woolen mills about that time is greatly appreciated.
