Vandercamp-Keiser of New Jersey and Michigan 19th century
Posted by: Maggie Musselman (ID *****0760) Date: October 09, 2008 at 05:20:01

In 1873, Marie Vandercamp (Keijser-Keiser) immigrated from the Netherlands with two children to Patterson New Jersey, according to the Swierenga Index of Immigrants. Her husband, Arji (Orrie or Ari) Keijser wasn't listed but may have left the Netherlands at another time and settled in New Jersey to prepare the way for them. Their daughter, Dena, had married Henry Mosselman in 1872, and immigrated to Kalamazoo, Michigan, with his family in 1873, a month or so after Marie left for the New World. If anyone has any information on this family, or suggestions on how they may be found, please contact me. Thanks.
