1870 Dade co, Mo; 1st July; P.O. Greenfield--Page 4; *Charles A. We are researching the MADEWELLs-- This Mary F.(Frances) is my husband's gtgrmother. My husband's family called her "Grandma Dadie" (she married Isaac DAVIS in Missouri). Her daughter (Rhoda E. born 1894 in Carthage, Mo) would not speak of her family much 'we don't speak of the dead', but she did tell me that her grandmother Martha A, married a Newman and some of that family is/was still around. My purpose for all this info, is perhaps someone of the Neumann family may know this MADEWELL family and can give me more information on them. We do know that Isaac and Mary F. are buried in Kansas City, KS near some of their children. I have made some changes while typing, I hope this prints out readable. Thanks for any comments or help.
