Charles Neumann was born in Germany (Prussia?) 1846 - 1887. M. unknown location Sophia Schenk, b. Hanover, Germany 1848 - 1849. Children: William, b. Cook County, IL 01Apr1873 (to Charley and Sophie). In 1880 they were in Washington, Sauk County, WI and Sophia's mother Catherine born in Hanover, Germany b. 1811 - 1812, was with them. Sophia d. 01May1893, (Charles unknown) b. in Tuckertown Cemetery near Loganville. A Katherina Schenk (dates match?)was born 10Apr1812, d. 06APR1882 and bur. at Old St. Paul Cemetery.
Children born in WI: Frederick b. 1876 to 1977; Herman Apr1879; Otto b. Jul1883; Mary b. Oct1886; and John b. 1891.
Cousins in the Loganville/Reedsburg area know the Schenk's or where some of the Neumanns went. Different spellings have been noted: Neuman, Schenck, etc.
Any info about these people would be appreciated. Charles and Sophia are my wife's g-grandparents.
