We are seeking information on Herman F. and Mary Newmann (Neumann) of Odell, Gage County, Nebraska.
Herman was born in December of 1855, in Prussia, (probably Marienburg, Germany). His older brother was August Neuman born March 18, 1848 in Marienberg, W. Prussia. August Neumann was married to Justina Julianna Sametzki (Smeltzer) (daughter of JOHN SAMETZKI) on April 25, 1874 in Marienberg, Germany, Justina Julianna Sametzi was born on February 27, 1854 in Marienberg, Germany.
Herman Newmann married Maria (Mary) Smeltzer, sister of Justina, about 1880, we know they lived in Odell from 1900-1920, because of censuses
