I have: John James b: 1750 VA d: 1819 Beaver Dam KY Ohio County. He is the son of Christopher James who married Lucy Thompson. I have 9 children listed for Christopher & Lucy...
I have Christopher's parents as John James b: aug. 20 1691, Bristol, England married to Justina Thurston. 3 children listed for them.
On John James & Lucy Thompson I have the following as their children: William, Mary (Polly), John James, Jr. (b:1782), Foster (b: 1786), Mosby James (b: 1788), Samuel (b: 1790), Hezekiah (b: 1792), Susannah (b: 1793), Joseph (b: 1799), and Mariah (b: 1802).
I have other info too but - is this your line?
