In this area in La., he entered and bought several tracts of government lands. His brother, Joel, was there in 1840." Vol 3: page 143 1830 Census for Conecuh Cty AL lists Nathan along with the number of males (3) and females (6) in his household including one female age 60-70. [As Nathan's mother was note in Al it is likely that this is Elizabeth's mother]. Vol 3 page 143 1840 Census for Conecuh Cty AL lists Nathan with number of males (6) and females (3) [it is likely that one daughter under 5 yrs in the 1830 Census had died; 2 females listed as 15-20 in 1830 {married? from 1st marriage} were no longer in the household; and the female in 1830 between 60-70 had most likely passed.] Vol 3 page 207 Caldwell Parish (Created 1838 from Catahoula) 1860 Census lists Nathan 68 b. SC and Elizabeth 57 b. GA. Vol 3 page 210 Jackson Parish (created 1845 from Union and Claiborne) lists Nathan[iel] 59 b. SC and Elizabeth 47 b. GA.
