This may not be helpful, but I haven't seen Mittie Mixon as a name very often. So I thought I might as well pass on anything, which isn't very much but it might help. I live in Jacksonville, Florida and my fathers name was Roy Henry Mixon born in 1930. Just recently I aquired a family photo about of his family that included his grandmother, Mittie Mixon. These Mixon's I believe were reared in Florida, around the Live Oak area, but this could be incorrect. Mittie would be my great grandmother, but it sounds like Mixon is her married name not maiden name. This is really all I know, don't even have my great grandfathers name..I know my grandfathers name was Harvey Mixon and from the picture there was like 6 brothers and 2 sisters that Mittie had as children. The time frame could be accurate with her age, but sorry can't be for sure. Do have a picture of her, let me know if this can be of any help.
