Dear Maureen, I have done extensive work on this Mead family. If you would like, please contact me for further information. It took ages for me to find the data that validated the first cousin connection. How do you know the father of William. I have never found concrete evidence of this information. I was hoping dna studies might clarify the family of origin. Mena Mead
