Looking for information on James Mead to enhance a dialog I'm writing to give to the Lyon Township, Oakland County, Michigan Library. Following is all the information I have on James Mead:
Mead, James A. of Lyon, Mich., c.1843 born in Michigan; Aug. 9, 1862 enlisted at Lyon as pvt., Co. I, 22nd Mich. Infantry Rgt. Sept. 20, 1863 wounded in thigh at Chickamauga, Ga. Aug. 1, 1864 cpl. June 26, 1865 mustered out at Nashville, Tenn. after the war lived at Scottsville, Mich. 1880 and 1900 farmer at Riverton, Mich. wife: Rosa Mead, c.1851 born in Michigan; Children: Hattie G. Mead, c.1875 born in Michigan; Royal Mead, February 1880 born in Michigan
