I know this is a stretch, but here goes.
My grandfather was Columbus Joseph Meade. He was originally from Mingo County WVA. He moved to Davy, sired 14 children, was on active duty in WWI, worked as a coal miner, and published a book entitled "Pit Skyland". He passed away around 1955.
He spoke fondly of his sister, whom he called "Aunt Bess."
I believe his oldest son, Bill Meade visited Aunt Bess in the last decade. I also remember an Aunt Tilda. One of the two lived in Caples, WV.
