Hello Friends!
My dad is Don Grigg (he was adopted after his mother passed away by his mother's family who was Grigg). His father was John McRae and his father's brother was Roy McRae from the Whitby/Ajax area.
As my father Don was raised knowing his dad (John) only as his 'uncle' - trust me I know this is complicated! lol - he has very little information on this side of his family, but has been able to trace his geneology back to the Isle of Skye.
It is the local information he is missing out on. We do know that his father (John - often called Jack) was married approximately 1929/30 to a Sarah Oxby (sister to my dad's adoptive mom). The Oxby's are from the Sebright/Sadowa Ontario area.
If you could help, please, please...it would be greatly appreciated as my dad is quite ill these days.
