I have spoken with my grandmother and she confirmed that we are related to the McRae's through Winney. She said that an unmarried sister of Winney's lived in the McKay household until her death. I'm assuming that would be Ann. However, we didn't have any proof of this information beyond family memory, which is why I wanted to doublecheck in the forum. I'd appreciate copies of information directly relating to Winney and Donald, and I'll wait eagerly for your book to be finished.

Out of curiosity, have you found any files relating to Donald McKay in your McRae search? He seems to be a random Scot, though Pea River church records online mention a "Daniel McKay." I'm just wondering if relatives of his joined him in Alabama with the McRaes.

Thanks so much for your help!
