SOURCE: THE COURIER-JOURNAL NEWSPAPER, LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY DATE: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2003 JOHN W. "BUD" MAZE, 84, of Louisville, died Tuesday at his residence. He was a retired safety director for the Indiana Army Ammunitions Plant, and Army veteran of World War II and a former professional baseball player. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Maze. Survivors include his son, John W. Maze, Jr.; daughter, Sherry Lee Terry; two grandchildren, Larry Joe Maze and Melissa Gail Wise; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy "Dots" Martin. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, a family-owned and operated funeral home centre, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday. Expressions of sympathy may go to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Home of the Innocents. No relation to the deceased.
