I am searching for a Rosannah Mays born approx. 1840, she married Robert L Glasscock in 1863 in White Co AR. At the time she married R L Glasscock she had a young daughter named Anna Mays 3-5 years old. In the 1870 Randolph Co AR census she is only listed as Anna. On Rosannah and Roberts 1863 marriage document Rosannah is listed as Rosannah Mays. Robert died before 1880 and Rosannah and daughter Anna or found in Lawrence Co AR, Anna's name is spelled Mayo, it shows her father born in TN. Rosannah and Robert lived in Randolph Co during their marriage as far as I can determine. So I don't know if Anna was an illegitimate child of Rosannah or if Mays was her married name at the time she married Robert L Glasscock. Also another clue, Robert L left a will naming the daughter he had with Rosannah and his children from a previous marriage but not Anna, so I would say she is not his natural daughter.
